New Opportunity – Social Networking Coordinator
We have an important opportunity for a volunteer to take a key new role in implementation and maintenance of our LinkedIn group site and dynamic content on this chapter website in support of the VP Publicity. Overall objective is to improve timeliness and quality of content in both channels to make content more relevant and valuable for all community members. The role is largely as a facilitator to secure content from various chapter experts and edit/post the content for public consumption. If you are interested, please contact the President, VP Finance or another Board of Directors member.
Ongoing Opportunities
Volunteering for ASCM Orange County Chapter is an excellent way to give back to the supply chain community, learn and grow personally and to expand and strengthen connections within ASCM and beyond. Board of Director executive officer positions provide opportunities to take a key leadership role. Many are supported by standing committees to help execute and streamline the essential functions of the chapter. Additional roles exist to participate in committees to facilitate unique events or handle special projects. If you’re interested in contributing, attend a Board of Director’s meeting (third Wednesday of each month) or contact any BoD member.
Examples:
Education Committee: Assist the VP Education in all activities related to planning and delivery of the core education product. A key part of this role is in maintenance of the publicized education calendar and timely development of content for promotional communications.
Finance committee: Reviews and contribute to financial policies and procedures and ongoing oversight of chapter financial records and reports. Mid-year audit committee performs a critical check and balance to ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with chapter policies.
Membership Committee: Assists the VP Membership in monthly update of maintenance records, tracking of membership levels and activities to strength and growth in chapter membership.
Executive Roundtable Committee: Members plan and execute events for outreach to area Supply Chain and Operations executives.
Special Events Committees: Participants are needed on a regular basis to plan and execute various events that the chapter hosts or participates in including, for example, judging for Southwest District Student Case Competitions, hosting SW District meetings, ASCM exam question-writing sessions.
